The GudenkaufUnderground Story
Gudenkauf Underground, LLC grew out of a simple idea: rural and small-town Iowa needs a contractor who shows up with the right equipment, does the job once, and leaves the yard looking like nobody was there. For more than two decades that has meant boring utilities under driveways, roads and lawns, installing and pumping septic tanks, and running trenchers, excavators and skid loaders on projects of every size.
The business operates from Manchester in Delaware County, and most work happens within driving distance of home. That keeps scheduling realistic and means the person you talk to on the phone is the same person who understands the ground conditions in this part of the state.
